Unravel Two, developed by Coldwood Interactive, is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer about connection. You control two Yarnys — small creatures made of yarn — who are bound together by a single thread after a storm. That thread is both your tool and your limit: it lets you swing, climb, rappel and pull your partner up, but you always have to stay close.
The game is designed around cooperation. Two players can play together on the same screen, each controlling one character and working out how to get past obstacles as a team. Played solo, you switch between the two characters or merge them into one to move faster. The puzzles are approachable, while optional challenge levels offer tougher tests for experienced players.
Its environments are a highlight: realistic forests, lakes, industrial sites and coastlines, seen from the scale of a tiny yarn figure. In the background, faint memories of two young people tell a quiet story about friendship and hard times. It is a warm, beautiful game that works especially well for playing together at home.
