About Planet of Lana

Planet of Lana is the debut game from Swedish studio Wishfully. It tells the story of Lana, who lives in a quiet village by the sea until strange machines descend from the sky and take her people away. Accompanied by Mui, a small cat-like creature she befriends, she embarks on a journey across the planet to bring them back.

The gameplay is a side-scrolling mix of platforming, stealth and puzzle-solving. Lana cannot fight the machines directly, so you hide, distract and outsmart them. Mui plays a central role: you can direct it to climb, fetch objects or interact with the environment, and much of the puzzle design relies on coordinating the two characters.

Visually, the game is one of the most striking of recent years, with hand-painted landscapes that shift from coastal villages to deserts and forests. The story is told through images and animation rather than dialogue, which makes it easy to follow for any player. It is a relatively short adventure, polished and emotional from start to finish.
