About American Truck Simulator

American Truck Simulator is SCS Software's take on trucking in the United States. It uses the same foundation as Euro Truck Simulator 2 but swaps European roads for the long highways and open landscapes of the American West and beyond.

You start as a driver taking jobs from local companies, then save up to buy your own truck and grow a business with garages and hired drivers. Deliveries take you through desert highways, mountain passes, forests and small towns, with weather, traffic and day–night cycles adding variety to each trip.

The trucks are a big part of the appeal: classic American rigs with long hoods and chrome, which you can customise inside and out. The base game covers a few states, and expansions steadily add more of the country. Like its European sibling, it is a calm, meditative game that rewards patience and a love of the open road.
